Ollie gets out of the car and shoos them all out of the way. Ferdinand gives him a filthy look and marches off into the orchard below, chortling as he goes.

The Scotsman stands in the courtyard and stretches his arms. 'Well, I don't know about you lot but I've got to water and sort out my vegetables before we go out tonight.'

Ollie picks up Inko, who is standing patiently on the front porch. 'I'm off out with Angel later. Where are you two going?'

The annual Night of Art in Sóller, when artists display their works in shops and on Calle Sa Lluna, the town's main shopping street, is one of the highlights of the social calendar. Bands play and cafés and restaurants in the plaça are besieged by locals and visitors.
